Our grant categories are recommended by our Scientific Advisors , and applications are reviewed by hundreds of volunteer experts. Requests for funds outside of St.

Baldrick's grant cycles cannot be considered. Spring cycle grants are funded based on scientific review. The following categories are available in the Spring Cycle.

The three (3) year Scholar (Career Development) Award, with an option for two (2) additional years based on progress, is meant to help develop the independent research of highly qualified individuals still early in their careers. Recipients are called St.

Baldrick's Scholars. Up to $110,000/year, three-year minimum. Scholar (Career Development) Award LOI instructions Scholar (Career Development) Award Guidelines St.

Baldrick's International Scholars This three (3) year award, with an option for two (2) additional years based on progress, is to train researchers from low-and middle-income countries (as classified by the World Bank) to prepare them to fill specific stated needs in an area of childhood cancer research upon returning to their country of origin. Recipients are called St. Baldrick's International Scholars.

Up to $110,000/year, three-year minimum. International Scholar LOI instructions International Scholar Award Guidelines These grants are for specific research projects which are hypothesis driven and may be either laboratory, clinical, or epidemiological in nature. Grant will be $100,000/year for two years.

Research Grant LOI instructions Research Grant Guidelines Survivorship and Supportive Care Research Grant • These grants are for specific one-year research projects which are hypothesis-driven and focus on areas related to survivorship and supportive care of children and adolescents with cancer.

Examples include but are not limited to: studies related to the burden of morbidity, cause-specific mortality, understanding the pathogenesis of treatment-related complications, patient-reported outcomes or quality of life, health communication, health promotion, and psychosocial support across the trajectory from diagnosis to survivorship or end-of-life care.

Survivorship and Supportive Care Research Grant LOI instructions Survivorship and Supportive Care Research Grant Guidelines Supportive Care Research Grant Due to the impact of Covid-19 on fundraising, St.

Baldrick's will not be offering Supportive Care Research Grants in the 2024 Spring grant cycle These grants are for specific one-year research projects which are hypothesis-driven and focus on areas related to the supportive care of children and adolescents with cancer. Average grant will be $50,000 or less. Supportive Care Research Grant LOI instructions St. Baldrick's offers Summer Fellowship Awards, funding stipends for undergraduate, graduate, or medical school students to work in a pediatric oncology setting for a summer.

The total award, paid to the mentor's institution, is $5,000. There is no LOI for Summer Fellowships Summer Fellow Grant Guidelines Consortium Research Grant Due to the impact of Covid-19 on fundraising, St.

Baldrick's will not be offering Consortium Research Grants in the 2024 Spring grant cycle These grants are for team science to support program projects, for a group of 3-5 or more institutions solving key questions in childhood cancer. These grants may be for up to five years. Consortium Research Grant LOI instructions Fellows are funded based on scientific review.

Infrastructure grants are funded based on need, expected outcomes, and local St. Baldrick's participation, with a strong priority on geographic areas with no other St. Baldrick's funding.

The following categories are available in the Fall Cycle: These grants are not for a specific research project, but rather for resources to allow more research to be done. They support institutions with the potential for more participation in childhood cancer clinical trials, but which currently lack necessary resources (support for Clinical Research Associates).

Preference is given to institutions with high needs and low philanthropic support in geographical areas where St. Baldrick's funds are raised. Institutions which do not currently receive other St.

Arceci Innovation award, European based FIGHT KIDS CANCER is funding 1-2 researchers working in an institution based in one of these countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

This award cannot be applied for; nominations are received, and the award is granted at FIGHT KIDS CANCER discretion. The nomination and application process is being administered by St. Baldrick's.

org and ask to be placed on the notification list. I am trying to submit my application and the system will not allow me to submit. There are two main reasons you may not be able to submit your application.

The application needs to be Validated. “Validate” checks for required items and attachments, and you will not be able to submit if required items and/or attachments are missing. Once you have successfully validated your application, you should be able to submit.

The deadline has passed. Pending applications can be viewed and edited even after the deadline has passed; however, applications cannot be submitted. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure and to verify that the online proposal is received before 5:00 p.

Do I apply using my ProposalCentral account? The Principal Investigator must start the LOI or Application. However once a proposal is begun, access for application submittal can be given to other users, such as collaborators, assistants or grants and contracts staff.

Unfortunately St. Baldrick's is unable to access and edit institutional profiles in ProposalCentral. Institutions are registered on ProposalCentral by institution officials, who have the ability to log-in and update the information associated with that institution ( here is more information on registering an institution).

How do I know my application was successfully submitted? The ProposalCentral system will email a confirmation that the application was submitted. Once your application is submitted you may view it by logging-in and accessing the “Submitted” link under the “Manage Proposals” tab.

How will I be notified that my proposal was awarded? St. Baldrick's will contact you via email through the ProposalCentral system or by phone, to let you know of the final funding decision.

Spring Cycle grants are notified before June 30th, Fall Cycle Infrastructure grants are notified in October, and Fall Fellowship grants are notified by March. Notifications might be by phone; be sure to include the best number to reach the PI directly, in your profile on ProposalCentral. How do I upload my award deliverables?
