Staffing For Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) The Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grants (SAFER) was created to provide funding directly to fire departments and volunteer firefighter interest organizations to help them increase or maintain the number of trained, "front line" firefighters available in their communities.
The goal of SAFER is to enhance the local fire departments' abilities to comply with staffing, response and operational standards established by the NFPA (NFPA 1710 and/or NFPA 1720). California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CSNSGP) is a grant from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services that funds target hardening and security enhancements for nonprofit organizations at high risk for violent attacks and hate crimes due to their ideology, beliefs, or mission. FEMA-provided funds can be used for equipment, training, exercises, and supplies to protect against terrorism and other threats. National priorities require allocating at least 10% toward border crisis response and 3% toward election security.
