Funding Details: Stand Down Grants - Rural Health Information Hub Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance Number: U.S. Department of Labor, Veterans Employment and Training Service State and regional contacts Stand Down Grants are provided to organizations for the purpose of hosting Stand Down Events that provide a wide variety of employment, social, and health services to veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness in order to promote self sufficiency and help individuals reenter Required services include: Health screenings and examinations Department of Labor employment and job training Veterans' benefit counseling Access to basic hygiene supplies, showers, haircuts, attention to health concerns, and other collaborative services may also be provided to participants on the day Applications will be accepted from: Nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) State, county, city, township, or special district Other state and local government agencies U.S. Territories or possessions Native American tribally designated organizations Faith-based organizations State and local workforce development boards Federally recognized native American tribal Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities Public, state-controlled, and private institutions of The maximum amount that can be awarded to support a local Stand Down event is $10,000 per applicant for a multi-day event, and $7,000 per applicant for a one-day event.
An applicant is normally allowed one grant award per fiscal year. Funds are noncompetitive and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until available funding is Links to application information are available on grants. gov .

Applications will be accepted no less than 90 days prior to the planned event.
