On behalf of the Healey-Driscoll Administration, the Executive Office of Public Safey and Security (EOPSS), and the Office of Grants and Research (OGR), we are pleased to announce awardees for the following grant programs: Municipal Road Safety Grant Program - $6,173,954. 64 for 210 municipal police departments.
State Agency Traffic Safety Grant Program - $7,148,043. 11 for nine state agencies who will complete 25 traffic safety-focused projects. State Traffic Safety Information System Improvements Grant Program - $613,900.
86 for three state agencies and two municipal police departments for projects that will improve traffic crash data collection and quality. OGR is the State Administering Agency (SAA) for grant funds received by Massachusetts from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSTA).
Using these federal funds, OGR administers several grant programs tailored to address traffic safety issues in Massachusetts through evidence-based and data-driven approaches. Attached is a PDF of the award recipients. If you have any questions, please let me know.
