State Association & Community Organization Grant Program is sponsored by The American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America. This longstanding matching grant program works in partnership with state beverage associations and local bottlers to support a variety of community organizations working to advance the physical and environmental health of their local communities.

C. – As part of its work to advance community health and sustainability, the American Beverage Foundation for a Healthy America (ABFHA) today announced $223,000 in new grants to seven community organizations in five states across the country. Every community organization awardee will use the funding to improve sustainability or public health in their area.

The latest 2025 grant recipients – a diverse group of nonprofits, youth programs and local partnerships in Anchorage, AK; Little Rock, AR; Miami, FL; Milwaukee, WI; New York, NY; Palatka, FL and St. Petersburg, FL – are leading innovative programs to address food insecurity, increase opportunities for physical activity, strengthen environmental responsibility and empower the next generation of health and sustainability leaders.

“These grant programs reflect the values we all share – healthier families, stronger neighborhoods and a more sustainable future for all – and reinforce how America’s beverage companies work with their communities to build a more vibrant future. ” Since its founding in 2011, ABFHA has awarded more than $17. 5 million in funding to nonprofit organizations and municipalities across the country.

Together, America’s beverage companies contribute $2. 8 billion to charitable causes nationwide. Descriptions of each winning program can be found below.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska, Anchorage, AK – $25,000 Grant This grant will help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska expand access to youth athletics by subsidizing membership and registration fees for 125 young people.

By reducing financial barriers to sports participation, the program promotes physical activity and social connection while supporting the Healthy Alaskans 2030 goal of increasing daily movement among adolescents. Hip Hop Public Health, New York, NY – $50,000 Grant Hip Hop Public Health harnesses the power of music, art and science to improve health literacy and promote lifelong wellness in underserved communities.

With renewed support, the organization will expand its youth-centered programming including its Health MC Ambassador initiative and culturally tailored educational resources on physical activity and nutrition.

University District Development Corporation (UDDC), Little Rock, AR – $50,000 Grant UDDC will use grant funds to support its Mobile Market, a vital initiative addressing food insecurity in Little Rock’s underserved neighborhoods.

The Mobile Market will bring affordable, fresh produce directly to residents in Wards 1, 2, 6 and 7 – many of whom live in food deserts – reaching approximately 1,000 households Kinship Community Food Center, Milwaukee, WI – $30,000 Grant Kinship Community Food Center will expand its Wellness Program to deepen community impact in Milwaukee’s underserved neighborhoods, reaching 4,000 residents.

Through hands-on education, shared meals and supportive services, the program addresses food insecurity not only as a lack of access but as a root cause of poor health and social isolation. The grant is funded by ABFHA ($15,000) and the Wisconsin Beverage Association ($15,000).

Feed the Need of Putnam County, Palatka, FL – $25,000 Grant Feed the Need of Putnam County’s Healthy Habits, Healthy Futures initiative integrates nutrition education into its weekend food program to help food-insecure students and families build lifelong healthy eating habits. The program provides healthier food options alongside wellness resources to encourage positive behavioral change.

The grant is funded by ABFHA ($12,500) and the Florida Beverage Association ($12,500). St. Petersburg Foundation, St.

Petersburg, FL – $18,000 Grant The Lealman Farmers Market, launched by the St. Petersburg Foundation, is a community-led response to food insecurity in one of Florida’s most underserved neighborhoods. With this grant, the market will expand its nutrition education programming.

The grant is funded by ABFHA ($9,000) and the Florida Beverage Association ($9,000). Debris Free Global, Miami, FL – $25,000 Grant In partnership with Ascendance Sustainable Events, Debris Free Oceans is turning large-scale local events into platforms for environmental education and sustainable action. This investment will provide free sustainability planning and implementation guidance for events with up to 50,000 attendees.

The project aims to help reduce waste, lower carbon footprints and promote recycling to protect Florida’s natural resources. The grant is funded by ABFHA ($12,500) and the Florida Beverage Association ($12,500).
