The Kansas State Cost-Share Program provides funding for voluntary participation in conservation implementation. Funding is allocated directly to county conservation districts from the DOC after July 1 each year.
Local cost-share applications are ranked, and funding is approved based on the highest to lowest ranking order until the county allotment is utilized. All approved contracts must be completed and paid out within the current fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
