State Funds Grant - Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics State Funds Grant Program Empowering Free and Charitable Clinics Across Florida FAFCC administers the State Funds Grant Program , a vital initiative funded by the State of Florida, Department of Health .
This program strengthens Florida’s healthcare safety net by providing financial support to free and charitable clinics that serve uninsured and economically disadvantaged patients. Each year, the Florida Legislature allocates $9. 5 million to support this initiative.
Additional funds have been secured for the past three years to directly support much-needed dental and behavioral health services. Florida has one of the highest uninsured rates in the country , with nearly 2. 7 million residents lacking health coverage .
