State Funds Grant - Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics State Funds Grant Program Empowering Free and Charitable Clinics Across Florida FAFCC administers the State Funds Grant Program , a vital initiative funded by the State of Florida, Department of Health .
This program strengthens Florida’s healthcare safety net by providing financial support to free and charitable clinics that serve uninsured and economically disadvantaged patients. Each year, the Florida Legislature allocates $9. 5 million to support this initiative.
Additional funds have been secured for the past three years to directly support much-needed dental and behavioral health services. Florida has one of the highest uninsured rates in the country , with nearly 2. 7 million residents lacking health coverage .
The State Funds Grant directly supports clinics that provide essential healthcare services to those most in need, bridging critical gaps in the healthcare system. How FAFCC Supports Clinics FAFCC serves as the fiscal agent for the program, ensuring that grants are distributed effectively and that recipient clinics adhere to reporting and accountability standards.
