The Wyoming Grant Assistance Program (WYGAP) is a technical assistance program dedicated to helping communities identify, pursue, and manage grant funding.
This assistance is offered at no cost to Wyoming’s state agencies, local governments, Tribal governments and organizations, non-profits, and small businesses . WYGAP provides one-on-one support in the following ways: Project Planning: Project planning services can help communities develop strategic, well-structured, and data-driven projects that are highly competitive for federal and state funding.
Grant Application Development: WYGAP’s grant application development services support communities in developing strong, competitive proposals by providing expert advice on crafting clear narratives and meeting all necessary funder guidelines. Compliance Support: WYGAP offers policy review services designed to assist communities in enhancing or developing policies and procedures for managing federal grants.
WYGAP is designed to provide support to local communities in overcoming these barriers while building lasting local capacity to pursue and secure federal and state grant funding and implement grant programs in compliance with all regulations. These dollars are available, at the discretion of the Governor, to be used by the State of Wyoming or its political subdivisions for the purpose of qualifying for IIJA grants. The Legislature did also add the following conditions: The State Infrastructure Matching Fund requires a match of state funds in the ratio of one dollar ($1. 00) of appropriated general funds to not less than four dollars ($4.
00) of federal funds. The Governor’s Office will accept applications until the funds are expended, encumbered, or until the end of the state fiscal cycle. Upcoming due dates are: February 1, April 1, June 1, 202 6 .
The State of Wyoming has established a State Infrastructure Matching Funds application, as well as guidelines regarding project eligibility and a protocol for funding approval. These are being managed by the Wyoming Department of Administration and Information (A&I).
