gov The purpose of this program is to strengthen and expand integrated, evidence-based substance use disorder (SUD) and maternal mental health services for pregnant and postpartum women and their families. The program seeks to improve maternal and infant health outcomes by addressing SUD and co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions through comprehensive screening, treatment, recovery supports, and workforce development.
Priority populations include pregnant and postpartum women with primary diagnoses of SUDs, including opioid use disorder, and co-occurring mental health conditions, their infants and families, and communities disproportionately impacted by maternal morbidity and mortality.
