Disability Related Services State Supplement for the Aged, Blind and Disabled State Supplement for the Aged, Blind and Disabled Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) currently issues SNAP and Cash benefits over the first 3 days of the month, based on the first letter of the EBT cardholder’s last name.
Cash benefits will be issued on the 1st of the month only SNAP benefits will be issued over the first 8 days of the month, depending on the 2 digits of Client ID Administered by the Connecticut Department of Social Services, State Supplement for the Aged, Blind, or Disabled provides cash assistance to people who are 65+ or who have a disability.
In order to receive benefits, individuals must have another source of income such as Social Security, Supplemental Security Income, or Veterans benefits. People who are eligible for State Supplement are categorically eligible for Medicaid. For more information, go to the DSS website, https://portal.
