STEM Teacher Grants

STEM Teacher Grants is sponsored by AFCEA Educational Foundation. Provides classroom grants for innovative STEM programs in grades K-12, with an emphasis on technology and engineering. This is a good fit for schools integrating small drone programs or UAS into existing courses.

Teaching Grants | AFCEA International The AFCEA Educational Foundation is dedicated to providing support to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students and teachers.

The Ciena Grants provide funding to K-12 classroom teachers with the implementation of innovative and engaging science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs, activities and technology (software and hardware) to promote learning and digital equality. Grants of up to $3,000 are awarded. NEW!

SHRADER STEM TEACHERS GRANT The Shrader STEM Teaching Grant Program will provide up to 10 individual teaching grants of up to $3,000 each to support high school educators in advancing innovative, engaging, and impactful STEM learning experiences.

Building on the long-standing impact of the Shrader Graduate Scholarship, this expansion reflects the shared commitment to broadening educational opportunities, reaching students earlier in their academic journeys. The Gravely and Paige Grants provide funding to elementary and middle schools in the United States to promote STEM innovation in the classrooms with an emphasis on academic programs. Grants of up to $2,000 are awarded.

This is a joint effort between AFCEA chapters and the AFCEA Educational Foundation to augment the cost to students for activities or tools inside or outside of the classroom, such as robotics clubs, cyber clubs and other STEM-related activities. Grants are available to provide funding to European Chapters to promote STEM innovation in the classrooms with emphasis on elementary academic programs.

Grants of up to $1,000 USD will be awarded. Chapters should identify a need in their communities and propose a program to address the need. Programs will be funded on a year-by-year basis, but will be eligible for renewal.

Chapters are encouraged to contribute matching funds, and programs with matching funding will have an advantage. This program is a joint effort between individual AFCEA Chapters and the Educational Foundation to promote effective STEM teaching and to enhance the abilities of capable STEM teachers in elementary and high schools worldwide.

The grants help an elementary or high school STEM teacher (or international equivalent) to augment STEM activities for his/her students. The AFCEA Educational Foundation will provide a $500 grant, which is intended to be matched by chapter funds. Since 2010, AFCEA Educational Foundation has invested more than $1.

2 million in teachers who are providing innovative STEM learning opportunities in their classrooms. These funds have directly impacted more than 60,000 students in elementary through high school across the United States. A variety of grants are available at the International, Chapter and European levels.
