Strengthen Your Roof Grant Program (North Carolina) is sponsored by North Carolina Coastal Insurance Underwriters Association (NCIUA). This grant program provides money to offset some of the replacement costs for qualified roofs to the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety ("IBHS") "FORTIFIED Home™ with new roof cover" standard, improving resiliency and weather-resistance.

The Strengthen Your Roof program covers areas east of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Outer Banks and Barrier Islands of North Carolina. Through our Strengthen Your Roof pilot program, eligible policyholders can apply for a grant of up to $10,000 toward the installation of an IBHS FORTIFIED Roof™. IBHS created FORTIFIED Roof™ to help homeowners keep their roof on and water out during high winds, hurricanes, and severe storms.
