Frequently Asked Questions To initiate and support innovative and forward-looking health-related projects aimed at improving health, social well-being, and educational attainment. We have elected to significantly focus our social determinants of health funding interests around emphasizing the integration of childhood, family, and community health in new ways for our foundation.
TCI wants to resource efforts that advance optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for families, children, and youth. Health Workforce Development This funding area understands that the health workforce shortages and aging population will require progressive and fundamental reshaping of health roles and the way in which patient care is delivered.
Telligen Community Initiative has funded community-based projects in Iowa and Illinois since inception. In 2015, we added Oklahoma. In 2017, we again expanded our philanthropic reach to introduce Colorado-based work into our funding footprint.
Since 2014, we have funded approximately nearly $22. 2 million in community-based support to 470 projects in our four states. You and your work could be next.

In 2026, all four TCI-supported states (Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, and Oklahoma) will have a single grant application window for funding within our Strengthening Families and Communities Request for Proposals (RFP).
This year, we’ll start utilizing an initial pre-application step that is a brief application process. This will be due by September 3, 2026.
