Student Success & Innovation Grants | Tennessee Board of Regents Office of Student Success Student Success & Innovation Grants / Office of Student Success The Student Success & Innovation (formally A&D) grant program was initially established in 2008 to provide for continued implementation of initiatives to eliminate barriers to post-secondary access and success.
In 2010, the program scope was broadened to include student success and completion aligning with the Complete College Act of 2010 and the Drive to 55. TBR community colleges and TCATs have focused on recruiting and enrolling more students who would not normally come to college and who, when they have come, have not been particularly successful.
The emphasis of the program has been primarily focused on increasing enrollment and success of students from all walks of life and all corners of Tennessee.
The primary goal for the Student Success and Innovation Fund (formerly A&D) is to advance data driven decision-making, strategic alignment, and scaling of innovations among member colleges in three areas: Student Success Programmatic Efforts Upcoming Grant Opportunities All information for the FY 2027 grant opportunities can be found on TBR's Grants Webpage .
2025 Student Success and Innovation Funding Institutional Block Grants Block grants are designed to provide direct financial support to technical, community, and locally governed universities in support of scholarships/student completion grants, student recruitment and retention, and student success programmatic efforts.
Each institution must supply a proposed plan to the Office of Student Success on an annual basis on how the instituiton intends to spend funds in those three categories and provide an end-of-year annual report on program expenditures. Innovations in Teaching Grant Max of 3 proposals per institution; Max award amount: $30,000.
