The combined Community Mental Services Block Grant (MHBG) and the Substance Use Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services (SUPTRS BG) Block Grant application is completed annually by the Division of Behavioral Health (DBH) and submitted to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to be reviewed by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP).
The application is a requirement for receiving Missouri’s portion of the MHBG and SUPTRS BG. The application includes a state plan that describes how the Block Grant funds will be used. Plans are posted for comment, and comments should be directed in writing to the DBH Research mailbox at DBHResearch@dmh.
