Summer Programming Grants | Department of Libraries Services for Vermont Libraries VTLIB Grants & Grant Lists Summer Programming Grants Winnie Belle Learned Fund Grants to Public Libraries Cataloging and Technical Services State Park and Historic Site Passes Law and Government Publications Mission & Department Overview Summer Programming Grants Each year as part of the statewide Summer Reading Program, the Vermont Department of Libraries offers non-competitive grants, open to all public libraries, to help support a wide array of programming for children, teens, and families during the summer.
The Department encourages libraries to support the local economy by purchasing locally sourced materials, products, and food, as well as eco-friendly and sustainable options whenever possible. 2026 Summer Programming Grants Successful applicants received a $350 grant to support summer programming in 2026.
Please note: While $350 was awarded to each eligible public library this year, future annual grant amounts may vary based on available funding. Recipients of the 2026 Summer Programming Grant were highly encouraged to use funds to support programming related to the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
