Summerlee Foundation Grants is sponsored by Summerlee Foundation. The Summerlee Foundation supports projects in various disciplines including archaeology, archives, libraries, media, museums, preservation, publications, and scholarly research. The participation of well-qualified individuals as active participants or consultants strengthens proposals.

org to discuss your project in May or June. Texas History Interim/Final Reports The Summerlee Foundation is no longer accepts Letters of Interest (LOI) or grant applications by mail or email. We use an online application and grants management system, called Foundant, designed to assist you in submitting both an LOI and a full proposal.

Please review the Grant Guidelines before beginning the application process. Prior to submitting a proposal, grant seekers must contact Texas History Program Director, Jessica Hamlin, at jhamlin@summerlee. org to schedule a discussion of the proposed project.

This discussion must take place at least 20 days before the LOI deadline. Complete the online Letter of Inquiry and, if invited, the full Application After discussing your proposal with the Program Director, and receiving approval to proceed, click here to be taken to the Summerlee Foundation On-Line Grant Portal at Foundant. Follow instructions for completing the LOI form and when completed, click “submit.

” Please be aware of the deadline for submission, as the process will automatically close at the deadline. You will receive an email advising you that we have received your LOI. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us.

You will be notified in a few weeks as to the status of your LOI. If accepted, you will then be invited by email to return to the Grant Application Portal to complete a full application. To learn more about using Foundant, visit their Tutorial Page and watch the video.

The Foundation makes grants for two specific purposes: to alleviate fear, pain and suffering of animals and to promote animal protection and the prevention of cruelty to animals, and to research, promote and document all facets of Texas History.
