Support to Sports Participation Grant The Support to Sports Participation Grant Program focuses on supporting local sports competition up to the international level and includes support to OUTCAN members.

Thank you for your interest in the Support to Sports Participation Grant.
Due to the overwhelming number of requests for funding, applications for the Grant are now temporarily CLOSED. Now in its third year as a pilot project, the grant has seen a significant increase in interest from CAF members. This strong uptake reflects the value of the program and the enthusiasm of members to engage in sport to maintain their overall health, wellness and operational readiness through sport-specific competitions.
As a result, the program has reached its current fiscal year funding capacity earlier than anticipated. We will be taking this opportunity to assess the program as it relates to FY 2026-27 (April 1st 2026 – 31 March, 2027) and beyond, to ensure its continued sustainability and success. All requests received up to and including 3 June 2026 will be assessed with approvals subject to availability of remaining funds.
All members with pending requests will be updated as soon as possible. All requests already approved will continue to be processed. We invite members to consult the program website periodically for updates on the program status and to confirm if the application portal reopens.
