A revamped grant program will launch in fall 2026 with the following changes: Revised focus areas prioritizing new agency goals and community impact Refined funding approach to ensure higher success rates by narrowing eligibility to align with pressing priorities Updated application and reporting process to increase efficiency and alignment with strategic goals Reusable Foodware Cafeteria Grants $25,000–$50,000 for K-12 schools, colleges, hospitals, and institutions to replace disposable cafeteria items with durable reusable foodware and dishwashing systems.
RESTAURANTS & EATING ESTABLISHMENTS Reusable Foodware Mini-Grants Restaurants, cafes, and retail food businesses can receive up to $500 in reusable foodware plus free hands-on transition support through the ReUse Assist Program. No complicated paperwork required. Reusable Transport Packaging Switch from single-use to reusable transport packaging to cut costs, reduce waste, and improve supply chain efficiency.
