The Susan Terry Foundation is committed to strengthening communities by supporting innovative, impactful projects that serve the public good.

Through our grant program, we provide funding to individuals, organizations, and research teams working on non-event initiatives that align with our mission of community enrichment and positive change. We invite applicants with clearly defined goals, thoughtful planning, and a strong commitment to making a difference.

Whether you’re launching a new program, conducting meaningful research, or developing a long-term community initiative, we encourage you to apply. This program does not fund event sponsorships or promotional activities. To be eligible for a grant award, your organization must offer one of the following: Initiatives that align with Susan Terry Foundation’s mission and vision.

Programs that benefit communities living with or are affected by HIV in Tampa Bay, and Sarasota, FL. Programs that provide food, shelter, healthcare, or basic services for those living with or affected by HIV. Projects that satisfy unmet needs in the community without duplicating other HIV programs or services.

Projects or programs that support health equity for all and serve a clear public benefit For FY2026, organizations operating in Sarasota or the Tampa Bay area will be considered for grants. 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Please Note: While organizations that do not hold a 501(c)(3) status may not be automatically disqualified, those with a 501(c)(3) status will be prioritized.

Ensure your project aligns with Susan Terry Foundation mission and funding criteria Complete the grant application form with detailed and accurate information. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Submit required documentation by including a detailed project description, budget, timeline, and any relevant supporting materials.

There is no need to follow up on the status of your application. All organizations will receive confirmation after funding decisions have been made. Applications will be reviewed by the deadline of May 1 st , 2026.
