SMRP Response to Questions Grant applications are due on June 1, 2026. The agency spends several weeks reviewing and evaluating the applications it has received from cities, towns, and regional authorities. MassDEP announces its award decisions at the end of this process.

32 KB) 3. #### Minimum Eligibility Requirements Before applying for SMRP funding, applicants must complete and submit a Minimum Eligibility Criteria form through Re-TRAC Connect™. Municipalities must adopt a broader Sustainable Purchasing Policy or EPP Procurement Policy for the Spring26 grant cycle.
Municipal applicants will be required to submit a copy of the policy with their SMRP Minimum Eligibility Criteria form.
