Sylvia and Samuel Schulman Memorial Scholarship National Council of Jewish Women-Los Angeles Section Sylvia and Samuel Schulman Memorial Scholarship provide financial assistance to single mothers in the greater Los Angeles County area of California who are interested in returning to college in any state.
This program is open to women who are single mothers and residents of the greater Los Angeles County area, including Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. Applicants must be entering or continuing college in any state to learn marketable skills that will lead to economic selfsufficiency.
Selection is based on the ability to articulate a clear statement of goals, the likelihood of goal attainment, demonstration of personal courage and commitment, and financial need.
