T-Mobile Hometown Grants | Main Street America T‑Mobile Hometown Grant Program Placemaking for Small Towns Big Investments in Small Towns Main Street America partnered with T‑Mobile to help build stronger, more prosperous small towns and rural communities. With T‑Mobile’s Hometown Grant program, we invested big in small towns by awarding up to 100 towns a year with project funding of up to $ 50 , 000 each.
Total, the program funded $ 22 . 8 million to 500 projects across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. T‑Mobile Hometown Grants was a five-year initiative to support the people and organizations who help small towns across America thrive and grow.
Hometown Grants were given every quarter to up to 25 small towns. Funding was granted to support a community project of a town’s choosing, like revitalizing or repurposing a historic structure, creating a downtown asset or destination, or improving a space where friends and neighbors gather. Selected projects added to a sense of place and catalyzed long term investment in local communities.
