Through our global giving and evolved strategic focus for the Global CSR Program , beginning in FY2025, Takeda brings a refreshed focus on helping build healthcare systems that are more resilient to the impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities.

Proposals to this program should focus on one of the three specific proposal tracks below: Climate-Resilient Health Infrastructure : Targeted investments in healthcare infrastructure and delivery systems to ensure they remain resilient/adaptive in the face of climate-related challenges.

Health Workforce Preparedness : Building a pipeline of skilled healthcare professionals trained to identify, prevent, and manage health risks associated with climate change. Health Technology Innovation : Developing and scaling technological solutions that address gaps in healthcare delivery and diagnosis for climate-vulnerable populations. Solutions should aim to improve the efficiency and reach of services in vulnerable areas.

We will publish the RFP document on our global website and in the Digital CSR Donation Management System.

The RFP includes guidance on thematic priorities, eligibility criteria, technical approach and budget templates, other relevant guidelines, and the entire proposal process timeline. All proposals must be submitted through the Digital CSR Donation Management System in English by the deadline indicated in the RFP. If the proposal does not pass the initial screen, it will not be considered for technical review. The resulting pool of proposals undergo technical and financial evaluation by our CSR Application Review Committee.

Proposals are reviewed, scored and ranked accordingly based on the following criteria: Responsiveness to RFP guidance and alignment with Global CSR Program priorities = 10% Compelling reason to fund (e.g., meaningful difference program makes, unique capabilities and experiences of applicant org and its partners, creativity/innovation of approach and impact) = 10% Strong approach (e.g., clarity and effectiveness of program approach; measurable and achievable outcomes, demonstrated local demand, and clear understanding of challenges being addressed and appropriateness of solutions) = 25% DE&I impact (e.g., are program teams and activities designed in ways that reduce disparities, draw on local expertise and leadership, and demonstrate an understanding of equity issues in relation to the populations they are seeking to serve and empower) = 20% Sustainable impact (e.g., engagement of local partners, transition of ownership, lasting results for people and the planet) = 20% Efficient & impactful use of resources = 15% All proposals are initially screened for completeness and eligibility.

Some may be invited to interview virtually with the our Global CSR team to further assess the quality of the proposal, clarify expected outputs and outcomes, budget details and request appropriate modifications to then program plan. After the CSR Application Review Committee has conducted its rigorous technical review, qualified summary slides of shortlisted applications are uploaded to our intranet in multiple languages for our employees across the globe to review. All our employees can cast their votes based on their review of this information.

Step 5: Award Notification and Donation Agreement Step 5: Award Notification and Donation Agreement Applicants that received the highest number of votes are notified of their selection status via email in July of the RFP year. Applicants are required to enter into a donation agreement with us prior to the public award announcement in September.
