(Photo/PSO) PSO awards more than $11K in Teacher Vision Grants to Oklahoma educators By : Journal Record Staff // May 4, 2026 // TULSA — Public Service Company of Oklahoma has awarded 25 Teacher Vision Grants to Oklahoma educators, supporting classroom projects designed to enhance student learning through hands-on experiences. The 2026 grants total more than $11,000 and range from $100 to $500.
They support Pre-K through 12th-grade teachers developing creative classroom projects, particularly in science, mathematics, technology and energy education . This year’s funded projects include literacy tools for second-grade students in Oologah , composting equipment for students in Chouteau and an electric current board in Henryetta , among other classroom initiatives.
“The passion and creativity teachers show through these grant applications is truly inspiring,” said Leigh Anne Strahler , president and COO of PSO . “By supporting these ideas, we’re helping educators give students hands-on experiences that deepen learning and open new possibilities. ” Teachers eligible for the program include those who live or teach in PSO service areas or near major PSO facilities.
2026 grant recipients include school districts such as Oologah, Owasso, Nowata , Atoka, Chouteau, Henryetta, Inola, Grove, Dewey , Jay and Bixby. More information about the program is available at aep. com/community/education .
