The Smart & Final Charitable Foundation proudly supports key partners through annual in-store campaigns, food rescue efforts, and associate volunteerism. Olive Crest transforms the lives of children and families. Since 1973, Olive Crest has transformed the lives of over 100,000 abused, neglected and at-risk children and their families.
Every June, the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation holds an in-store fundraising campaign every for customers to donate to the cause. City of Hope is transforming the future of health. To support City of Hope, a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening diseases, Smart & Final hosts the annual Kids 4 Hope in-store fundraising campaign each September.
Additionally, Smart & Final associates participate in the Walk for Hope to benefit research for women’s cancer and cures. Hunger is a complex problem. We can solve it together.
To support hunger relief efforts throughout our communities, perfectly edible but unsold food is donated to one of our fifteen Feeding America® member food banks. These food banks pick up donated product on a bi-weekly, weekly, or monthly basis. Our vision is to provide every child with the resources, love, and encouragement they need to be healthy, safe, and educated.
Started by Anaheim White House Chef and Owner Bruno Serato, Caterina’s Club currently feeds over 25,000 meals a week at 86 locations in 29 cities.
To serve Caterina’s Club, the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation and KFI AM640 host the annual PastaThon, a month-long in-store fundraising effort and culminating collection event to raise money and gather sauce, pasta, and supplies to assist Caterina’s Club in fighting food insecurity and homelessness in Southern California.
Smart & Final associates assist in collecting and packaging product, as well as transporting it to the organization.
