Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) (Michigan) is sponsored by Michigan State Police. The Michigan State Police offers the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) to nonprofit organizations within Michigan. This program provides funding support for physical security enhancements and other security-related activities to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist attack. It seeks to integrate the preparedness activities of nonprofit organizations with broader state and local preparedness efforts. There are two funding sources: NSGP-UA for nonprofits in designated urban areas and NSGP-S for nonprofits outside those areas.

Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program is sponsored by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) provides federal funding to supplement the work of local social service organizations to provide emergency food and shelter to people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness or hunger. The National Board, chaired by FEMA, allocates funds to local boards (like the one in Clark County, administered by United Way of Southern Nevada) which then distribute funds to eligible local recipient organizations (LROs). Funds can be used for served meals or groceries, lodging in mass shelters or hotels, rental or mortgage assistance, and utility assistance. This program has been paused.
