The Terracon Foundation helps our employee-owners give back to organizations that encourage young minds, provide support in times of need, and help build vibrant, sustainable communities. Thanks to our clients, the Terracon Foundation has been able to award nearly $6 million to support community organizations, universities, disaster relief, and employee matching contributions.

To create meaningful change, we support charitable organizations and programs that align with our company’s mission and values, focusing on three interconnected areas: Education : Sharing our passion for STEM, fostering programs and mentorship opportunities.

Built and Natural Environment : Providing opportunities to support projects that support innovation in the engineering, construction, and architecture fields; supporting sustainability, and changing our communities for the better. Our employees actively seek opportunities to give back to the communities we serve. Through the Foundation, employee-owners champion grants to help advance the efforts of organizations they support.

How our grants are chosen Employee grant champions must be actively involved in the organization they are championing. Funds from the grant must be used to support the Foundation’s mission of supporting education and the built and natural environment. We focus exclusively on grants championed by current employees and are not able to accept grant requests from outside organizations.

The Terracon Foundation supports our communities in the following ways: Community Grants : Supporting nonprofits with which an employee grant champion is actively engaged. University Grants and Endowments : Funding scholarships, fellowships, or program expenses at universities with which an employee grant champion is actively engaged.

Employee Dependent Scholarships : $2,000 per year for dependents of Terracon employee-owners in good academic standing pursuing post-secondary education. Employee Matching Gift Program : $20 minimum / $200 maximum matching donation to any qualifying nonprofit organization. Companywide Giving : Matching donations to seasonal causes including Earth Day, a back-to-school supply drive, and a Feeding America holiday giving event.

Terracon Foundation Awards $5,000 Grant to Maui Strong Fund for Wildfire Disaster Relief OLATHE, Kan. — The Terracon Foundation has made a $5,000 grant to the Maui Strong Fund to provide emergency funding for shelter, food, and financial assistance to meet community needs in the aftermath of the devastating wildfires that struck the island of Maui on Aug. 8, 2023.
