Resource Support Services - Catholic Charities Dallas Resource Support Services Resource Support Services jbermender 2026-02-06T13:10:10-06:00 City of Dallas Residents One-Time Utility Assistance Atmos Energy Utility Assistance NRG Affiliate Utility Assistance Each recipient must have an active account under one of the following NRG affiliates: The recipient’s name must match the customer account name on the bill, or the request must be submitted by an authorized user on the account.
The maximum annual customer assistance payment limit is $600 per calendar year. Partnering with Atmos: Empowering our Community Catholic Charities Dallas is partnering with Atmos Energy to provide essential support to individuals and families facing challenges with their natural gas services. Through this collaboration, we aim to extend a helping hand to those in need within our community.
Atmos Energy has generously allocated funds to address various customer needs, including: Natural Gas Utility Assistance: Covering usage costs, deposits, and reconnection fees. Weatherization: Enhancing energy efficiency and comfort for households. Natural Gas Appliance Replacement/Repair: Ensuring safe and reliable equipment for our customers.
Customer-Owned Natural Gas Line Repair/Replacement: Interior or exterior repairs and replacements for improved safety and functionality. To qualify for assistance, applicants must meet the following criteria: Must be a residential account holder with Atmos Energy. Reside in one of the following counties: Collin, Dallas, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, or Rockwall.
Assistance does not cover tampering fees that may be charged. The cap for assistance is one-time up to $500. Assistance for Customers Facing Disconnection Preventing Disconnection: If we are assisting you and we haven’t yet made a pledge, we can contact the Energy Assistance department on your behalf.
By doing so, we can request a hold on your account. This proactive measure helps prevent disconnection while we work on processing the assistance you need. Your well-being and comfort are our top priorities, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Reconnection Process: If you’ve been disconnected from your natural gas services, we are here to assist you in getting reconnected. Here’s what you need to know: Contact Us: Please reach out to CCD promptly. We’ll contact Atmos Energy’s Energy Assistance department to notify them of the assistance you need.
Account Note: Once we’ve notified Atmos Energy, they will post a note to your account, allowing for reconnection. Schedule Reconnection: After the note is posted, you must contact Atmos Energy’s Customer Service at 888. 286.
