Texas Invests in Meaningful Employment (TIME) Grant 2026-2028 - Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Intent Eligibility How to Apply Important Dates Rules and Regulations Additional Notes Contact TIME Grants are established to support public lower-division higher education institutions and their regional partners to implement new or expand existing short duration career and technical education (CTE) programs in high-demand and higher-earning occupations that result in a credential of value for students, including dual credit and certificates.
Developed and provided in collaboration with workforce stakeholders, these programs support strong employment outcomes. TIME Grant funding will be awarded competitively through a Request-For-Applications (RFA) process. Texas public junior colleges, public state colleges and public technical institutes awarded a Jobs and Education for Texans (JET) grant during years 2024, 2025, or 2026.
Application Coming Soon . Funding is available to support the TIME Grant through biennial appropriations approved during the regular session of the 89th Legislature. Contingent upon the amount of funding available, award sizes are based on submitted applications and are up to $500,000.
00. The grant period will be approximately twenty-four (24) months. THECB estimates that as many as six (6) or more (depending on available funds) will be awarded for the grant period.
Applicants may submit a single application. Funding for the TIME Grant will be awarded to applicants on a competitive basis. Awards are made based on rank order of reviewed applications until the allocated annual funding is exhausted.
