Purchase a Texas Music License Plate Purchasing a Texas Music plate directly supports future grants statewide. Eligible Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits can apply through eGrants. The Texas Music Office (TMO) administers the Music Education & Community Program Grant (often called the “License Plate Grant”), providing awards for music-related education and community programs sponsored by Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
How it’s funded: The grant fund is supported by Texas Music specialty plate purchases, where $22 of the $30 fee goes directly into this program. Only Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits may apply. Eligibility includes, but is not limited to: Organized and based in Texas as a nonprofit entity.
In good standing with the State of Texas . No delinquent taxes owed to a taxing unit of Texas. Applicants should be prepared to enter a 9-digit State Payee Identification Number (EIN or Vendor ID) to begin an application.
Applications are submitted through the Office of the Governor’s eGrants system. 1 Confirm your eligibility Review program eligibility requirements. Confirm Eligibility in eGrants 2 Create or access your eGrants account 3 Complete your organization profile Enter required organizational information in the eGrants Profile (Details tab), including grant official contacts as required.
