Empowering Small Businesses with Cybersecurity The Texas Small Business Cybersecurity Assistance Center (TSBCAC), funded by a $1 million SBA grant, helps small businesses across Texas strengthen their cybersecurity. We offer expert advice, compliance support, and tailored strategies to ensure businesses stay secure in today’s digital world.

To provide comprehensive cybersecurity support for small businesses across Texas, the UTSA Texas South-West SBDC network has partnered with the state’s three other SBDC networks: Northwest Texas (Texas Tech University), North Texas (Dallas College), and Texas Gulf Coast (University of Houston).
These partnerships enable the TSBCAC to extend its cybersecurity resources and training statewide, ensuring businesses in all regions—urban, rural, and underserved—receive the tailored support they need to protect against cyber threats. Texas small businesses can access up to 40 hours of vCISO services from certified professionals at no cost.

Cybersecurity Hygiene Ladders offer step-by-step, manageable actions to improve a business’s cybersecurity posture, starting with basic security controls and progressing to advanced measures.
