We started the CARE Together Fund (Communities Aligned Around Racial Equity) to address the systemic racism and inequities in our society. Compared to other areas in King County, South King County experiences the greatest disparities in economic and health vitality. Recent changes in federal policies are intensifying these challenges.
RRCF’s CARE Together Fund helps to address these challenges by offering nimble funding to small, primarily Black and Brown serving and immigrant led and serving organizations in our region who are closest to the ground and are best poised to provide solutions in the community. Most of the organizations who have received a CARE Together grant operate with budgets below $1 million – many have budgets that are $200K or less.
All are focused on South King County. Much of the funding RRCF has provided has addressed the greatest needs identified in our annual Nonprofit Survey Report – food access, housing, and mental health. To learn more about the impact of the CARE Together Fund you can read our 2025 report , 2024 report, and our 2023 report .
