SUBMIT A GRANT REQUEST | The Charles and Joan Hermanowski Family Foundation If you believe your proposal fits within the foundation’s guidelines, please submit a letter of inquiry (LOI) rather than a full proposal. LOIs should not exceed three pages. We prefer electronic submissions of LOIs.

If you cannot submit your LOI electronically, you may mail it to: Letters should include the following: Organization’s name, address, telephone number, federal tax identification number and contact information. Brief statement of the organization’s purpose and goals. Description of the project, the need and the target population it addresses.
Information about the capability of the leadership to implement the proposed project. Short-term and long-term outcomes anticipated and plans for assessing achievements. Statement about the operating budget and the project budget.
Statement about other funding sources for the project, specifying both committed and potential sources of support. Specific grant amount requested for funding. How the project will be financed after funds from this foundation are expended.
