Financial support for your studies As a socially responsible University, we’re fully committed to attracting and supporting the very best students regardless of their financial circumstances. We have a range of scholarships and bursaries available for students to apply for that are awarded based on location, merit or financial need. They may be awarded across all schools of study, and represent a partial remission from tuition fees.

Scholarship or bursary: What’s the difference? Scholarships are competitive and funded by donors, while bursaries are non-competitive and based on financial need. All awards are subject to your meeting the University’s academic entry requirements and abiding by the University’s rules and regulations.

To be eligible for a scholarship or bursary you will need to have been offered a place to study at Buckingham. In the case of UCAS applications, if you are made an award you will need to select Buckingham as your firm acceptance choice. £5,000 funding for UK undergraduate and postgraduate students with an entrepreneurial spirit studying business-related courses. The University of Buckingham Bursary UK students with a financial need wishing to study a two-year undergraduate degree could benefit from this bursary, worth up to £9,500. A £2,500 scholarship for students passionate about political economy, supporting their academic growth and interest in the field.

A scholarship of £11,000 that supports UK students from diverse backgrounds wishing to undertake an Economics degree. Advance your monetary policy research with one of two £4,000 scholarships available for September 2026. Scholarships for UK undergraduate students studying courses in Business, Computing, Humanities and Social Sciences or Psychology.

High Achiever Scholarship A £2,000 entry scholarship for UK undergraduate students with high grades, providing financial support to assist with your academic journey. International Undergraduate High Achiever Scholarship Fee reduction of £2,500 for international undergraduates with AAB at A level or equivalent in your local qualifications.

Lillingstone Trust Scholarship A £5,000 scholarship for local students undertaking MB ChB Medicine or a two-year undergraduate degree in Psychology. Postgraduate First-Class Scholarship New UK and international postgraduate students with a First Class Bachelor’s Honours degree can reduce tuition fees by 33%.

Sheikh / Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah Scholarship (Postgraduate) A £20,000 scholarship for outstanding Arabic students pursuing a full-time postgraduate Master’s degree in any subject at Buckingham. Sheikh / Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah Scholarship (Undergraduate) A £40,000 scholarship for outstanding Arabic students pursuing a full-time undergraduate 2-year degree in any subject at Buckingham.
