The EPIC Foundation Scholarship Program

The EPIC Foundation Scholarship Program is sponsored by The EPIC Foundation. The EPIC Foundation, a South Florida nonprofit, aims to help students from low-income populations afford educational support. They offer financial aid towards college, university, trade, and vocational school expenses, along with academic mentoring and career pathways support.

Through scholarship funding, more of these promising individuals will have a head start on the financial obligations needed for college. In 2018, the US Census bureau notes only 26. 5% of black men hold a 4 year college degree compared to 44.

According to the US Census, there is an educational gap with most minorities that are 25 years-old and older that have obtained bachelor degrees between 2005 – 2019; in addition, African American males have a very low graduation rate of 34 % from four (4) year colleges/universities according to the US Department of Education statistical data in 2017.

With obtaining a bachelor’s degree, many minority males have opportunities for obtaining a higher salary and career advancements (US Census). Supportive Research articles and websites: Beginning February 1st through May 30th of each year, TheEPiCFoundation will accept applications from minority male high school seniors in the state of Georgia.

Scholarships will be awarded using the criteria listed below: Extracurricular activities COVID-19 related job lost Single Parent incomes under $50,000, Two Parent household income under $75,000 Start the application process below and include the following items: Proof of high school transcript College acceptance letter A letter of recommendation (from a teacher, guidance counselor, coach, non-family member, or religious figure).
