The Michelle McGann Fund Campership Grant is sponsored by The Michelle McGann Fund. The Michelle McGann Fund awards grants to further juvenile diabetes management in three areas: awareness, education, and support. This includes providing camperships to help children with diabetes attend summer camps.

Some of the many complications from type 1 diabetes – such as vision problems, blindness, kidney disease, hypertension, amputations and others – can be avoided or minimized when children get the best treatment possible. Further, quality of life improves when type 1 diabetics follow proper preventive and treatment protocols.

” Michelle is a 3-time Florida State Junior Champion and the 1987 USGA Junior Girls Champion. In 1987 named the AJGA Rolex Junior Player of the Year and Rolex Junior First-Team All-American.

” Born out of a desire to advance type 1 diabetes awareness, education and support, The Michelle McGann Fund encourages and supports organizations with similar missions to promote improved diabetic health. Through the judicious use of donations and efficient awarding of funds, it also promotes improved diabetes management.
