The More Than Enough Project Grant is sponsored by Christian Alliance for Orphans. This matching grant program fuels collaborations of churches, organizations, and advocates working on collaborative projects to improve foster care in their communities.

The More Than Enough Fellowship is a funded launch cohort that will guide you and other collaborators in your U.S. community through the earliest stages of working together to provide more than enough for children and families in foster care. Alongside matching funding to fuel your collaboration, you’ll find deep connection with others working to rally the Body of Christ around children and families in your county.

And through customized learning and coaching, you and your fellow local collaborators will grow as leaders and create a plan to launch a successful local foster care network. You can apply for the More Than Enough Fellowship individually on behalf of your community! We'll then walk alongside you as you invite other collaborators to join you.

You don't have to have everything figured out. Let us come alongside you and we’ll get there together! Through the courses and coaching built into the More Than Enough Fellowship, in just one year your community will move from dreaming about what is possible to doing .

You and your fellow collaborators will: what more than enough would look like for your unique community and core principles to help you get there relationships and trust both as a group and with other foster care leaders where you live key stakeholders in your county that could work together to fill the gaps that will make the biggest difference for children and families a plan of what's next for your county and identify a shared project to tackle together–with matching grant funding to help make it a reality You'll apply for the Fellowship individually.

But because reaching more than enough requires working together, we'll then walk alongside you as you identify and invite others in your U.S. community to be a part of this collaboration. Here's how it works: Complete the application below and review the key dates and documents. Brainstorm who else in your community might be interested in the Fellowship.

Once your application is accepted, we'll coach you as you invite these local collaborators to join you. Apply for the More Than Enough Fellowship You can apply at any time. If your application is accepted, our team will meet with you to decide on your custom launch date!

Inside the Learning and Connection As part of the Fellowship, you’ll participate in customized coaching and support to help you move through the first three stages of working together as a local collaborative network. (The schedule for your specific cohort is available when you review the application above.) Explore what foster care could look like in your community with our More Than Enough Essentials online course.

Complete Discovering Your Community and identify strengths and gaps in your community, identifying a first shared project your collaboration can complete together. Make key decisions about your collaboration’s structures and create a clear blueprint to implement them through the Building an Effective Collaboration course — laying a strong foundation to launch a shared project.

Frequently Asked Questions Do I have to be working in the U.S. to apply for a grant? Yes, this program is designed to fuel local foster care collaboration in the United States. We cannot distribute grants internationally or for international work.

What do you mean by collaboration, and how do I form my group after I apply? You can apply for the Fellowship individually on behalf of your community, but you can't complete the cohort alone. The cohort is intended to help build relationships, friendships, partnerships, and networks within a specific county or community.

Once you are accepted, you will need to identify and invite other leaders in your community to participate in the Fellowship with you. You will have around one month to invite these collaborators to join you, and: Each group member must represent a different organization, church, agency, or group. At least two group members must represent a church.

This can be a pastor, associate pastor, ministry leader, or volunteer. Each group member must live in or close to the county or community they are working in. Each group member must be willing to commit to investing in learning opportunities and participating in courses, project development, and execution.

Once you identify these core collaborators and they agree to join, each of you will complete an MOU to formally begin the Fellowship and access the funding. Do we have to be CAFO members? No. CAFO membership is not required to be part of the More Than Enough Fellowship.

However, we ask that each person who joins you in the Fellowship complete the MOU and agree to the CAFO Statement of Faith and Deepest Commitments . Can we add more people to the collaboration after the start of the cohort? Yes.

You are welcome to invite as many community members as you would like to all of the learning opportunities and courses at no cost. These additional students do not have to be added to the MOU unless you specifically request that we amend it. Can my organization be a part of more than one collaboration?

Yes . An organization may be a part of more than one Fellowship collaborator group and award. However, it will not be possible for one person from one organization to be a member of two collaborations.

If an organization operates in more than one county/community they should have different staff representations participate in different group collaborations. What are the funding requirements? This is a matching funding program where each group will fundraise $5,000 and be awarded up to $8,000 in matching funding.

When will we receive the funds? After you complete all the coursework, your group will plan a shared project. You will receive up to $3,000 when you have recruited your core collaborator group, and each of these collaborators have signed the MOU and have completed the Collaborative Health Assessment.

This is intended to help kick-start your collaboration while you raise matching funds, build relationships, learn, and complete the Fellowship coursework. During the Discovering Your Community Course, your group will plan a shared project. You will receive up to $5,000 (matching your group’s contribution) when it is time to launch that shared project together.

Our collaboration includes multiple churches and organizations, how will you determine who receives the funds? One member of the group will serve as the ‘fiscal agent’ and be responsible for receiving and tracking donations and matching funds on behalf of the group. If you are selected as a recipient the members of your group will need to agree on which financial account will be used.

What if I don't feel confident we can raise $5,000? We know that for some people who may have never raised funding for projects like this, the process can be intimidating. We have put some things in place to help you feel confident in your ability to do this!

Fundraising webinars and coaching will be available. Ultimately, we believe that if this project is from the Lord, He will provide for it, and we will do all we can to help you achieve this goal. Together, they are showing what healthy collaboration looks like in practice and the difference it makes for children and families. By building relationships with one another, setting aside their individual logos and egos, and working together to fill the gaps that will make the biggest difference in caring for children and families, they are charting a new path for their community.
