Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund - Large Grants Program - NH Charitable Foundation The Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund focuses its grantmaking and work in Coös County, NH and communities in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont and the MRC De Coaticook in Québec, Canada that share a border with Coös County.
Programs, projects or agencies that operate beyond these borders, provided they offer clear benefit to the people and landscapes of Coös County, may also be eligible for funding. Please contact us if you are unsure about geographical fit.
Organizations recognized as tax-exempt by the IRS or CRA are eligible, including US nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, Canadian organizations with qualified donee status, tax-exempt public agencies, schools and municipalities.
Other community groups and organizations that do not have U.S. or Canadian tax-exempt status may apply for funding if a 501(c)(3) organization, municipality or public agency acts as their fiscal sponsor .
The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation honors the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals, and will not knowingly make grants (including those recommended by donor-advised-fund holders), to organizations whose mission or programs promote hate, or run counter to principles of basic respect, justice and equity.

Gilman Housing Trust, $34,000 (over two years), to support the continuation of the Support & Services at Home (SASH) Program to serve Canaan and surrounding communities. Hereford Community Forest, $75,000, to construct an observation tower at the summit of Mt. Hereford.
Kismet Rock Foundation, $30,000, to support operating costs. Musee Beaulne, $48,000, to provide landscaping, renovate a stone wall, build new steps and a ramp, and purchase outdoor lighting. NH-JAG, $130,000 (over two years), to provide programming to students in the Berlin area.
NH Legal Assistance, $60,000, to support general operations in Coös County. Northern Forest Center, $75,000, to support operating costs. Parc Harold F.
Baldwin, $23,714, to maintain and repair a trail system in the park. Pew-Owners Association of the Stark Union Church, $38,019, to support repair and renovation of the Stark Union Church’s structure. Radio Cooperative de Coaticook, $62,000, to renovate office and studio space.
Town Of Whitefield, $39,253, to cover last mile grant funds needed to install a new fire station roof and solar array. Van Grimde Corps Secrets, $25,000, to support interdisciplinary art, historical & cultural activities in St-Malo/Malvina historical site. Vermont Food Bank, $90,000 (over three years), to support operations to address food insecurity in Essex County and surrounding communities in NH.
