The EuroHPC JU Large Scale Access call provides industrial users with rapid access to AI Factories' GPU compute resources across European supercomputers (including MareNostrum5, LUMI, Leonardo, JUPITER, and others) for high-impact, high-gain innovative AI research. Cutoffs are rolling and bi-weekly through 2026 and into 2027 (example cutoffs: 30 Jan 2026, 16 Feb 2026, 27 Feb 2026, continuing through 4 Jan 2027). Minimum 50,000 GPU hours per proposal. Industry users requiring large compute for training foundation models, fine-tuning multimodal models, or running large inference experiments can submit on a continuously open basis. Academic and public-sector users should apply via the separate 'AI for Science' access mode. EuroHPC JU is overseeing 19 AI Factories and 13 AI Factory Antennas across Europe to provide free, customized support to SMEs and startups. Strong fit for European industrial AI labs and SMEs needing sovereign EU compute for training and serving large models.

U.S.-Japan Policy Studies is a grant program from the U.S.-Japan Foundation (USJF) that supports non-profit organizations and academic institutions with projects that strengthen ties between Americans and Japanese, with a focus on policy studies and research. The Japan Foundation administers a parallel application process through its New York and Los Angeles offices. Eligible organizations must have a bank account in the institution's name and must not be foreign governments or international organizations receiving Japanese government contributions. Projects must not serve religious or political purposes, and applicants who have received support for three consecutive years are ineligible for a fourth consecutive year. Funding amounts vary by project.

Google.org's AI Opportunity Fund provides grants to best-in-class workforce development and education organizations to help people learn essential AI skills. The U.S. fund is $75 million and aims to help over one million Americans, targeting rural and underserved workers, public-sector employees, students, educators, small businesses, and nonprofits, and includes $10 million directed to Project Evident, the Tech:NYC Foundation, and local community foundations to help nonprofit employees adopt AI. Grants flow to nonprofits, trade unions, municipalities, ICT associations, and community organizations delivering AI skilling.
