Donate - The Phoenix Center The Phoenix Center (TPC) has been a member of the educational community for the past 30+ years and would appreciate your support. Although TPC receives tuition from sending school districts who place students here, it is not enough to cover the rising costs of extra-curricular, technology, community-based instruction, and other special programs.
Therefore, we rely on the generosity of corporations, local businesses, foundations and private individuals like you. There are many different ways to support The Phoenix Center… You can make a one-time donation or a recurring donation (monthly, quarterly or annually). In keeping with TPC’s Fish Philosophy, our giving wall—called Contribution Cove—is a beautiful painting of an underwater ocean scene that will be filled with various fish as a way to commemorate and memorialize the generosity of those who have helped build our school and those who continue to help realize our mission for many years to come.
Those who fall in to any of the giving categories listed on the Donate Now page will have their name inscribed on a beautiful fish and added to TPC’s Contribution Cove. This new addition is proudly displayed in the main entrance of our school. Please download the annual giving form here for more information.
With this option, you can create a significant legacy by putting TPC in your will and/or following a planned giving strategy. A planned gift is pledged now and gifted at a later date. There are various ways to make a planned gift at no cost to you — such as retirement assets, life insurance, charitable gift annuities, and much more.

If you have a donor advised fund, DAF Direct enables you to recommend grants to this nonprofit directly from your DAF (as long as your DAF’s sponsoring organization is participating). You can easily make your contribution now. It is always helpful for TPC to be introduced to decision-makers at corporations and foundations who value our commitment and dedication to serving students with disabilities.

The Robotics Grant Program is a grant from the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) that funds school-based robotics programs for elementary, middle, and high school students. Awarded through a competitive application process, the program provides up to $3,500 to eligible local education agencies (LEAs) in Alabama. Applicants must be public school systems submitting on behalf of schools with K–12 students. The grant supports the purchase of robotics equipment and program development aligned with AMSTI guidelines. Applications are submitted online through the AMSTI Robotics Grant portal. The Fiscal Year 2026 application deadline was September 30, 2025. Questions should be directed to robotics@amsti.org. The program is managed by the Alabama State Department of Education under State Superintendent Eric G. Mackey.
