– Entergy Arkansas is proud to announce its Power Your Future Scholarship program is now open for applications until May 7, designed to support current college undergraduates pursuing eligible technology majors who plan to further their education at designated select Historically Black Colleges or Universities or minority-serving institutions in Arkansas.
The program will award up to 30 scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $5,000, funded by Entergy shareholders. Administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest manager of scholarships and educational support programs, the Power Your Future Scholarship is part of Entergy Corporation’s broader initiative, The Power of Prosperity .
This initiative is designed to provide students and their families with free access to financial resources that foster the success of HBCU students and promote generational wealth. As part of this commitment, Entergy has pledged $20 million over 10 years to elevate and empower HBCUs and their students across its service area in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
These funds will support enhanced education, career readiness and workforce development programs at HBCUs. The program will award up to 30 scholarships across the four-state service area.
Eligible institutions in Arkansas are: Philander Smith University University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Southeast Arkansas College UA – Pulaski Technical College The available scholarships are broken down by major: 10 scholarships at $5,000 each for students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in: 20 scholarships at $2,500 each for students pursuing associate degrees in: As part of Entergy Arkansas’s commitment to building a strong workforce pipeline, this scholarship supports the Job Power pillar of the Next Generation Arkansas vision focused on creating access to education, training and career opportunities that prepare Arkansans for in-demand, high-paying jobs.

By supporting students in their pursuit of higher education at HBCUs and minority-serving institutions, we are investing in both their future and the long-term economic strength of our communities. ” Interested students must submit their applications by the May 7th deadline. The application process includes submitting required materials as specified by Scholarship America.
