## Expanding culturally responsive mental health care in response to the COVID-19 pandemic Adolescents of color and LGBTQ+ youth face significant barriers to accessing mental health care. The Upswing Fund for Adolescent Mental Health was created to address this need by providing resources to organizations serving these populations.
Collectively, our grants and knowledge sharing efforts have impacted the adolescent mental health community by: * Strengthening the capabilities of care providers to deliver affirming and culturally responsive mental health interventions, while enhancing the quality, reach, and scope of their services for long-term impact.
* Supporting the integration of technological innovations, such as telehealth and mobile apps, with care systems and services to achieve greater reach.
* Sharing insights informed by our grantee partners, including: An Investment in the Future of Adolescent Mental Health: Insights from an Analysis of Applicants to The Upswing Fund (examples of culturally responsive care and investment recommendations), and Addressing the Adolescent Mental Health Emergency: Community-Based Recommendations for Key Stakeholder Groups (recommendations for addressing common challenges experienced by community-based mental health organizations).
