2027-2028 Application Deadline: To Be Announce What is Third Party Funding? Third-party funding, in this context, is a way for Webb County to financially support organizations that serve the community. Instead of simply giving away money, which is prohibited by the Texas Constitution, the county provides funds through contracts for services.

This means the organization receives money in exchange for providing a service that meets a public need. All decisions on what organizations to fund and whether their services meet a public purpose are made by the Webb County Commissioners Court. It's important to know that these funds cannot be used for payroll expenses, employee wages, benefits, or salaries.

Any application that doesn't follow this rule will be disqualified. To be eligible for funding, your organization must: 1. Must have one of the following official documents: a.

Tax exempt status under IRS Section 501(c)(3) b. A charter from the Secretary of State c. A resolution from your Board of Directors or Governing Body that officially defines the organization's legal status 2.

Must follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 3. Must submit an income expense report from the prior fiscal year, if applicable. 4.

The organization must have been operational and providing services for at least one year Note: Webb County encourages eligible organizations committed to serving the community to participate in this funding opportunity to support their mission and contribute to the betterment of our community.

Webb County has historically provided funding to non-profit groups and organizations that do not have IRS 501(c)(3) status, as long as they meet the other criteria. 1. Review your eligibility to make sure your organization qualifies.

2. Gather the required documents (Checklist is provided in the application). 3.

Complete the application form. 4. Submit hard copies of the application and all documents.
