We are so proud of her most legendary and impactful accomplishment and wanted to share her story and many others’ stories with you. Friends is grateful for Tena’s leadership and is fortunate to have her. Because of her vision, it’s unimaginable to think of all the children that have benefited through the years.

A little over 20 years ago, I asked friend Nikki Brown to hear me out about a new idea to raise money for Batson Children's Hospital.

She listened and helped me convince Gwen Young Rakestraw at the Radio People to take a leap of faith. Thank you both for believing in Batson and making incredible things happen for the children of Mississippi.

With the 20th edition of this phenomenal event wrapping up, I want to say thank you to the Radio People team, the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals staff and the patients and families who so courageously share their stories with all of us.
