Thriving Communities Grantmaker Program

Thriving Communities Grantmaker Program is a grant from CalRecycle, administered through the Green and Healthy Homes Initiative, that funds community-based organizations working to improve environmental health and housing conditions in underserved communities. The program supports grassroots nonprofits, tribal governments, and community-led efforts focused on green and healthy homes and environmental equity.

Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, tribal governments, and intertribal consortia in California. Award amounts and deadlines vary by funding cycle.

Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Technical Assistance providers GHHI is seeking partners to support Thriving Communities sub-awardees in areas such as compliance, project implementation, organizational capacity, budgeting and financial management, and environmental health initiatives. Interested entities are asked to submit their qualifications by October 10, 2025.
