Economic Development Initiatives Tourism Improvement District TID Grant Funding Opportunity TID Grant Funding Opportunity The Napa Tourism Improvement District Local Governing Committee (Napa TID) provides grant funding to events, organizations and projects that enhance the experience of visitors to the City of Napa resulting in extended hotel stays and repeat visitation, all while promoting the beneficial impact that tourism and hospitality have on the local community.

Each July, the City of Napa TID begins a new budget cycle with an amount allocated to grant funding. While there is no deadline to apply, the amount of the annual budget allocated for grants will decrease as the fiscal year unwinds, so while the TID will accept and review applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, applicants are encouraged to apply early.

The TID prioritizes events and projects that will generate overnight visitation during off-peak periods: In addition, proposals will be evaluated based on criteria including city-wide impact and community benefit. Proposals will be reviewed by a subcommittee which will provide their recommendation to the full Local Governing Committee at the following regular monthly meeting.
