Great Strides Program - adpht. arkansas. gov Office of Outdoor Recreation Eligible applicants: All municipalities and counties in Arkansas* Maximum award: Up to $250,000 (no match required)*.
*The total grant pool is $250,000 Eligible projects: Development of new walking trails, expansion or renovation of existing walking trails, trail signs and markings if included as part of a construction or renovation project. Funding: Grantee will be issued the grant amount in two installments to be discussed prior to project development. Grant completion timeframe: Grant projects should be completed within one year of award notice.
A Project Management Workshop, a Notice to Proceed and a fully executed Contract Agreement between the grantee and the Outdoor Recreation Grants Program are required prior to expending any funds for acquisition or development. Design and administration costs are exempt from this rule.
