TRANSCEND Fund — PFund Foundation The TRANSCEND Fund addresses the emerging needs of our Transgender & gender non-conforming community members. TRANSCEND funding is used to support Trans+ rights advocacy and general operating support for organizations that support Trans+ & gender non-conforming folks throughout their lives. Join us at the 2025 Drop Deadlift Gorgeous fundraising event! Organizations serving Trans+ and gender non-conforming people can submit a general operating grant request for an on-going or emerging need that aligns with the program purpose and goals.
Grants of $5,000-$50,000 will be available to organizations serving Trans+ and gender non-conforming communities in PFund’s 5-state service area (Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin). TRANSCEND organization grant applications will go through our participatory grant-making process, where LGBTQ+ community members participate in the grant recommendation process from late October to early November.

Click here to see the application evaluation tool community members will use to evaluate grant applications. *Beginning in 2025, 90% of TRANSCEND donations will directly support grant making, and 10% of TRANSCEND donations will support the administrative costs of our community-based grant reviews and grant application software expenses.
To apply for a TRANSCEND grant, organizations must meet the following qualifications: Organizations must explicitly and primarily serve LGBTQIA2S+ populations in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and/or the Native Nations therein. Organizations must offer services and programming specifically for Trans and gender non-conforming communities.
Organizations must have been in operation at least 1-year as of September 1, 2024. Organizations must be registered as 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the IRS. Informal groups with a fiscal sponsor are also eligible to apply.
Join us as a volunteer community grant reviewer! Community grant reviewers receive a 1-hour training and then spend 3-10 hours over a two-week period reading and reviewing grant applications.
